UIC celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day
UIC celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day today at the Lake Ontario.
MP Iqra Khalid, MP Fares Alsoud and MPP Sheref Sabawy marked their presence, cut Independence Day cake and spoke.
Today, we gather here to celebrate the 14th of August — Pakistan’s ( our country of birth) Independence Day — a day that reminds us of the sacrifices, struggles, and dreams that gave birth to our beloved homeland in 1947.
This day marks the moment when our forefathers , as a nation, stood united under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and achieved a separate identity — a land where we all could live freely, practice our religion, and shape our future without any discrimination and provincialism, ethnicity, creed or cast.
