    We believe

EMPOWERING SENIORS TO LEAD AN INDEPENDENT AND DIGNIFIED LIFE

It is a serious concern for us that children at the present time have no time or willingness to spend time with their parents. It’s not about time but also about being receptive to their feelings to lower the growing distance between parents and children.

We deliberate this issue and our thoughts are that we should render our share to address this issue.

From its inception UIC mission was to serve the humanity as per our mission and mission as well to do something about vulnerable groups specially seniors, and help those who need a new direction in life to be happy.

UIC has been working to empower senior citizens to live an independent life and helped those who needs financial assistance and food. We tried to address few elderly abuse cases according to our resources and means.

UIC now decided to help seniors to live with dignity by providing them opportunities to develop their second career and help seamlessly integrate them into the workforce. Thus we have come up with a solution to bridge the gap between retirees and businesses seeking help.

The Unity in the Community is a charity organization having a number of experts and executives who are either retired or taking some time off work.

At present, UIC has access to the knowledge and experience of 25 experts from all professional spheres.

    OUR PLAN:

    1. Exercise program for Seniors

Training modifications and exercise program for seniors at community centre. Given the right exercise programming, seniors can experience important increases in functional capacity and health.

UIC organized various seminars and workshop on Mental Health- Diabetes and Drug Abuse in the past but our efforts hampered due to COVID 19 thus we were unable to hold any workshop or a seminar during these years.

UIC program will enable seniors to continue working either part time or on voluntarily basis while enjoying a retirement lifestyle.

Seniors need to improve their computer skills regardless of their occupation for reintegration in the work environment.

Seniors require at least basic computer competence, including the ability to navigate with the current Microsoft operating systems, basic Internet skills, and a familiarity with some or all of the Microsoft Office components.

Most jobs today require the ability to use Word, which is the word processing component of Microsoft Office, and Outlook, which is an e-mail, scheduling, and contact management application. If your job involves creating presentations, it is very likely that you will need to know how to use PowerPoint as well.

Senior citizens after completing vocational training will be placed to various NGOs, organizations and part time employment with bare minimum wages or on voluntary basis.

UIC program is to train seniors to conduct successful fundraising events and help them to enhance their qualities such as Great Interpersonal Skills, Commitment to the Cause, Determination/Resilience, Perseverance, Integrity/Honesty, Being Adaptable, Ability to Tell Compelling Stories, Ability to Research Donors in Depth.

Help seniors and enable them to develop skills beneficial for organizing workshops and seminars.
