UIC Organize Cyber Crime and Scams

A townhall on Cyber crime and scams organized by the Unity in the Community.

Nadeem Advani, William Law and Charu Handa from Royal Bank of Canada made a presentation regarding phone scam awareness. Constable Jana Marchese of the Crime Prevention Services of the Peel Police talked about a topic that affects many people in our community phone scams targeting seniors.

She said that these scams are becoming more common and more sophisticated and her goal was to help seniors recognize the warning signs, protect their personal information, and know what to do if someone tries to scam them or someone shows care about you.
