A Fundraiser – Trillium Health Partner
$140,000 raised by Association of Muslim Community in collaboration with Unity in the Community in 8 weeks for Trillium Health Foundation. Today was the last event for this year and marked by a donation of $ 15,000 by Chaudhry family in the memory of their parents, aunt and uncle.
Senator Salma Ataullah Jan, Deputy Minister Nina Tangri and MPP Sheref Sabawy were the guest of honour.
Senator Jan while speaking on this occasion thanked the Chaudhary family for the work they do.
Dy. Minister Nina Tangri said that pandemic challenged every thing, all of us and to the foundation to raise funds for the hospitals. It is our responsibility to step up and raise funds for this new hospital in Mississauga. She thanked AMC for its efforts to raise funds for Trillium Health Foundation.
MPP Sheref Sabawy appreciated the continued work done by AMC and UIC doing for the community.
I, on behalf of AMC, thanked Mississauga and specially those who donated, pledged 140,000 for the building of this hospital.
UIC president Hamid Akbar thanked the guests and NCA exam guru Aamer Chaudhary also spoke.
